The Abdoulaye FADIGA Prize for the promotion of economic research in the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) is part of BCEAO’s (Central Bank of West African States) research policy, which aims to contribute to the development of research activities within the WAEMU through collaboration with researchers and the academic world.

Worth ten (10) million CFA francs, it rewards original research work on an economic, monetary or financial subject of proven scientific interest to WAEMU member states and to the BCEAO.
