Practical phase of the capacity-building program for WAEMU researchers - 2022 Edition
As part of the 2022 edition of its capacity-building program for WAEMU researchers in research methodology, the West African Center for Banking Studies and Training (COFEB) is organizing a practical workshop to provide guidance on publishing articles and preparing research projects.
The workshop will take place from September 20-23, 2022, on Zoom. The capacity-building program consists of two phases, the first of which focused on theory and was attended by approximately one hundred researchers from universities and research centers in WAEMU countries on April 12-13, 2022. In phase two, a call for submissions of articles or proposals was launched in June 2022, for the participants of the theory workshop held in April 2022. At the end of the preliminary selection process, thirteen (13) articles and seven (7) research projects with publication potential were selected for evaluation during the practical workshop. The workshop will take place under the chairmanship of Professor Adama Diaw of Gaston Berger University in Saint Louis, Chairman of the Abdoulaye Fadiga Prize (PAF) reading committee. The manuscripts will be examined by a panel of seven (7) moderators, namely: professors Jean-Paul Pollin, a member of the PAF reading committee, Thierry Montalieu, a member of the international association of francophone microfinance researchers (Association Internationale des Chercheurs Francophones en Microfinance - AICFM), Georges Kobou from the University of Yaoundé, Denis Acclassato Houensou from the University of Abomey Calavi, Abdoulaye Seck and Babacar Sène from Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, and Nasser Ary Tanimoune from the University of Ottawa.
The best papers selected following this practical workshop could be submitted to the Scientific Committee of the BCEAO Economic and Monetary Review (EMR) to be considered for publication.
