Delivery of modules 2 and 3 of the Executive Certificate in Strategic Banking Management (CEMSTRAT 2)
Modules 2 and 3 of the Executive Certificate in Strategic Banking Management – Level 2 (CEMSTRAT 2) were held in person from June 10 to 16, 2025, on COFEB’s premises, located at BCEAO headquarters.
CEMSTRAT 2 is an intensive program designed to strengthen the skills of policy makers. The training sessions brought together high-level participants, including CEOs, deputy CEOs, and senior government and regional officials, with the aim of helping them strengthen their skills in two fundamental areas of strategic management: strategic resource development and leadership.
The sessions were led by renowned experts from the HEC Paris business school:

In line with the objectives of CEMSTRAT 2, these modules were designed to equip policy makers in the banking and financial sector with advanced tools to effectively steer the strategic transformation of their institutions in a context marked by profound changes in economic environments and rapid technological developments.
For reference, the 2025 Strategic Banking Executive Management Certificate programs began on the following dates:
- CEMSTRAT 1: launched on May 20, 2025, with a class of 30 participants, mainly including senior operational executives, department heads, and senior managers from the banking and financial system value chain, as well as the public sector.
- CEMSTRAT 2: launched on April 29, 2025, with 30 participants in strategic positions, including executives and managers from banking institutions and public corporations, members of executive committees, and high-potential employees.
