  • This program, which includes several key topical themes, including financial engineering, opportunities in the global capital market, and keys in the quest for new value creation, is designed to help executives and officials master methodological reference systems and top-notch tools, acquire new expertise, enhance their impact, and coordinate and steer the dynamics of success.

  • Objective(s)

  • The course focuses on developing the efficiency and skills to enable executives and top officials to better grasp the digital environment in all its dimensions. It highlights knowledge on innovative financing activities and digital business model development. More specifically, it focuses on:

  • Driving performance in terms of strategic vision, value creation, and engagement,

  • Navigating the strategic contours of new financial technologies, including digital business model development,

  • Anticipating crypto-currency development and the spread of distributed ledger technology,

  • Connecting to new and innovative financing, and

  • Implementing a strategic vision in banking.

  • Teaching methods

  • The training will be led by experts from HEC Paris. Special emphasis will be placed on use of information and communication technologies, including online classes, through the following methods:

  • Alternating theory, group work and virtual classroom discussions,

  • Remote training using specially designed teaching modules,

  • Experience sharing and exchanges of best practices, cross-cutting case studies based on data and concerns submitted by the participants, and

  • Success stories from top executives and senior officials.

  • The course is taught over several months to facilitate in-depth learning through the consolidation of acquired knowledge, as well as intensive training during each module to ensure that the concepts are thoroughly assimilated.

  • The 2023 edition of the course will include an innovation new feature: participants will prepare a "concept note" to be defended in the form of a dissertation before a jury made up of senior officials from institutions. The dissertations are to be examined at the end of the course, in person, in Dakar.

  • This course targets strategic players in the banking and financial system value chain as well as senior management in the productive sector, including CEOs and deputy CEOs, and particularly:

  • Members of financial institution management committees,

  • Directors and deputy directors of financial institutions,

  • Top business executives and senior civil servants, and

  • Experienced managers who have completed the CEBD2 certificate course with HEC Paris.
