As part of the implementation of research cooperation, the West African Center for Banking Studies and Training (COFEB) organized an online research workshop in collaboration with Princeton University on "Modeling Using MATLAB Software, Intermediate Level" from March 15 to 18, 2022.
On Wednesday, February 15, 2023, the West African Center for Banking Studies and Training (COFEB) organized a topical conference on "WAEMU and 'non-price' competitiveness factors", starting at 3:30 pm.
The conference, held in Amphitheater A on COFEB premises, was facilitated by Dr. Patrick Plane, Director of Research at the CNRS (CERDI-FERDI) and member of the COFEB Scientific Committee. It was attended by COFEB's 45th graduating class, BCEAO staff, and COFEB faculty members.
The conference was chaired and moderated by Dr. Ousmane Samba Mamadou, General Manager of COFEB.
COFEB has published the sixth annual issue in its “COFEB Abstracts” series, based on a Study and Research Paper (SRP) written in December 2021 by Gbêmèho Mathieu Trinnou on the subject of "Analysis of the explanatory factors of tax effort and tax potential in WAEMU countries".
This publication presents a simplified summary of the main findings of the above-mentioned study on the problem of mobilizing tax resources, which is particularly important in the current context of rising expenses due to various ongoing crises, particularly the COVID-19 health crisis.
COFEB has published the seventh annual issue in its “COFEB Abstracts” series, based on a Study and Research Paper (SRP) written in December 2021 by Yao Dossa Tadenyo on the subject of "Bank liquidity and financing of the economy in WAEMU".
The abstract summarizes the contents of the above study on the relationship between bank liquidity and bank loan growth in WAEMU countries, shedding light on bank lending behavior in the community.

It was prepared by Professor Fodiyé Bakary Doucouré, Senior Lecturer at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, who has been teaching in the COFEB degree program for several years. Well apprised of the COFEB environment, Professor Doucouré designed this book for use by COFEB students and staff as a teaching tool on descriptive statistics, with detailed demonstrations and corrected exercises using Eviews and Stata software.
