Ceremony Marking the Official Start of Classes for COFEB’s 47th Graduating Class

The official opening ceremony for the 47th graduating class of the West African Center for Banking Studies and Training (COFEB) took place on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. GMT, in Auditorium A of the Center.

Chaired by the Governor of the BCEAO, Jean-Claude Kassi Brou, the ceremony was attended by members of the Government, BCEAO management, training facilitators, COFEB executives, and students of the degree program.

Presentation of Dissertations by Auditors from COFEB’s 46th Graduating Class

Thirty-one members of the 46th graduating class of the degree program of the West African Center for Banking Studies and Training (COFEB) successfully defended their dissertations on December 3-18, 2024, at the headquarters and national branches of the BCEAO, with the exception of Guinea-Bissau.
At BCEAO Headquarters, the examination board was presided over by Mr. Mahaman Tahir Hamani, General Manager of COFEB. 

Closing of the Executive Certificate in Strategic Banking Management, Level 1 (CEMSTRAT 1) 2024 Edition

The West African Center for Banking Studies and Training (COFEB), the training and research center of the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO), and HEC Paris held a Certificate award ceremony for the 26 participants of the 2024 edition of the “Executive Certificate in Strategic Banking Management, Level 1” (CEMSTRAT 1).

Seventh Edition of the BCEAO-ATTF Joint Training and Coaching Course for the Implementation of BALE II-III in WAEMU

From March to September 2024, COFEB organized the seventh edition of the training and coaching certification course on the implementation of Basel II-III in WAEMU. The program was jointly implemented with the Luxembourg’s Agence de Transfert de Technologie Financière (ATTF).

Practical Phase of the 2024 Edition of the WAEMU Researcher Capacity-Building Program in Research Methodology

From June 26 to 28, 2024, the West African Center for Banking Studies and Training (COFEB) conducted the practical phase of the fourth edition of its capacity-building program in research methodology for researchers in the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU). Consistent with previous editions, this practical phase featured a workshop where distinguished Professors assessed research projects and articles submitted by young researchers who participated in the theoretical phase of the program.
